    1. I will give you some great ideas, tricks, and instruction that may help you turn your puppy into the best behaved, most happy, jogging, bouncing, slipper-fetching best pal you always wanted?. Watch here > DogTrainingMadeEasy5.blogspot.com

  1. Hey Zak, I just thought I’d let you know that I love the format of your past two videos. They’re always informative, but I think breaking it down step by step makes it much easier for people to learn (and based on the topic of this video, dogs to learn too!)

    1. BE around people, with leash (and muzzle if necessary). The most critical thing is that YOU ARE CALM and totally NON REACTIVE like being around people is so normal it is boring. Your dog is incredibly sensitive to your bodylanguage, heartbeat, stress smells. He knows you better than you know you. If you are worried that your dog will misbehave or get weirded out and truly embarrass you in front of your friends HE WILL KNOW something is wrong. He won’t know what to do because he wants to please you so badly he’ll try too hard…

So you have to BE A SUPREME ACTOR otherwise he will absolutely read the environment as NEW and unknowns and his normal doggy behavior will kick in when ever confronted with anything new. Dogs love routine. Predictability. Make circumstances you want your dog to understand as part of THE routine happen over and over again. Dogs learn more from stuff we do routinely than from choreographed training lessons. Important to have training become ROUTINE same time of day, same environment, same length of time unless the dog is tired, or sick. Then the training both the training sessions and the daily routine of YOUR life start taking off. Each lesson relates to the next lesson. So each subsequent DAY the learning gets faster and more embeded.

Start with one person…does he wig out with one stranger? What is his comfort level now with people? What were his first experiences with people like? What is your home and life routine? How long are you separated daily? What are the skills he consistently does well? The skills that have been difficult? How much exercise does he get daily?

And one more thing. Make sure he is well exercised before meeting friends..people. Tell you friends to NOT EVEN LOOK AT HIM. No touching, no engaging. Act as if he is invisible! If he lies down and is very relaxed a quiet stroke and calm voice of praise is great. Do this before working up to strangers on the street or starbucks! Your part is to act as if being around people is the more normal boring thing in the world…repeated for emphasis!

  2. Do you focus on one lesson a day/week, or do you teach multiple at a time? I have just subscribed! love your videos and how you train them!! I am all for respecting your dog when you are teaching them, which you clearly do. No punishments when they don’t get it. My boyfriend and I pick up our French Bulldog tomorrow, I’m so excited and going through videos trying to learn your tips (about to watch the biting puppies and 5 things to avoid). Thanks!!

    1. Oh, that’s odd. For me it does, and I’m going to assume that it did for the guy who posted the comment XD

  3. Hey Zak, I love your videos! My brother is adopting a rescue dog soon, and these videos have been a great way to get ideas on how to train our future family member!

I wanted to add; a lot of people are complaining about the paid product promotions. I want to congratulate you on that; it’s good to see a fellow content creator getting paid to do the thing he loves! It’s a sign that you’ve really made it!

If anyone wants to complain about the product promotions; content creators have to get paid too. No-one really wants to be a “starving artist”. Zak is giving you amazing material for FREE. You haven’t paid him a dime, so stop complaining about the fact that he is using YouTube to give you all quality information, and gets paid for doing so. I think that is fantastic!

Great work Zak, can’t wait to see even more videos!

  4. my least favorite thing is the two-minute introduction of himself, his brand, his sponsor: If the video is good, viewers will naturally want that info, and will wait for it to come after the main content. You lost my attention and my goodwill, and I´m moving to the next video.

    1. Cause making a video that everybody naturally wants to skip the first part of, means your´re doing a great job.

    2. +Åse Formo I get your point tbh, his whole sponsoring is a part i really hate about his videos, however i’m pretty sure if he didn’t advertise he would have to stop making these videos, idk about you but they really help me, so i don’t really mind.. As i said i get you though 🙂

    3. +Åse Formo Fair enough, i’m pretty sure however he can see at which part people tend to skip. Most youtubers who make money with their videos can.
He knows but his ”boss” probs tells him to do it in the beginning anyway.

    1. the dog whisperer’s technique is good for dogs that have behavioral problems rather then simply not knowing how to teach your dog something.

  5. hey Zak, this is sorta a weird situation but my puppy eats his poo and i was wondering if you could do a video about this situation and how to prevent it?

    1. Just let him eat it. Why would you want to deprive your dog of his happiness? I mean, I eat my poop and I don’t see what the big issue is. Everyone is different, just let your dog be happy

  6. FINALLY! A Chow Chow videooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNEW you were AWESOME, Zak!!! Sorry for the caps, I’m THAT excited!!!!

    1. I had three chow chows in my life time….the best dogs on the planet. I trained them even to walk without the leash and to not cross my property lines…they were a difficult breed to teach. The only thing i couldnt teach is for neighbors to keep their 7 cats they HAD off my property. -Diane Cender

    2. My third Chow would walk next to me, off-leash, around my neighborhood, sit next to me while I gardened, etc. He just wanted to be next to me. My fourth, and current, Chow does all kinds of tricks (I began teaching him at eight weeks. Whoever says you ‘can’t teach’ a dog that young is missing some marbles), takes a treat from your hand so gentle, it falls out of his mouth half the time, and has an otherwise great temperament. If a stranger approaches me, though? Watch out. He doesn’t even like my husband’s friends that I don’t care for. He totally picks up on my vibes. He’s the best dog, ever – Chows are the best dogs, ever 🙂

    3. i really miss my chows but they were old and had to be put down. 🙁 Chow have the most wonderful personalities.Very protective and loving to their owners. One time someone tried to get in my side oak door.when I wasnt home. I found my door half chewed off at the bottom. They of course did not get in Ha Ha Ha. They are a powerful breed thats for sure

  7. Favorite: Aport/ Give your paw
Least Favorite: ehhm idk i love teaching my dog but the hardest must be potty training 🙂

  8. The Chinese love their chow chows. Usually on a bed of noodles and bean sprouts. No, that is not a joke – the name chow chow implies it’s eaten as food.

    1. its basically the equivalent to eating horse meat in the US, some people think your an absolute monster for doing it and others just think its the same as cow or deer meat.

    1. I’m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to learn about best way to train your dog try Magonsi Clever Canine Expert ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my partner got great success with it.

    2. Zak George’s Dog Training rEvolution Only thing is Petflow doesn’t carry my pets food . Which is NRG or other raw & dehydrated foods. 🙁

    3. Zak George’s Dog Training Revolution If you don’t mind me asking, what dogs are your own? I have a feeling Indiana is…
