    1. Brandon Hayfield ” 9 weeks of age is the best time to start basic obedience (Sit, Down, Stay and Heel). After your dog has all that down, you can start other tricks and stuff!

    2. U got my pup at 10 weeks and I started training immediately, hes like a sponge. Sit, down, shake, roll over and fetch.

    3. Brandon Hayfield you are such a dumbass, all months with the exception of February have at least 30 days that’s 4 weeks, so the dog is at least 8 weeks old

    1. Zak George’s Dog Training rEvolution how can you teach a dog how to bark when he never ever barks he only barked 1 time in his whole life

    2. Mymoo Palakkal
is this the stuff that kids get excited about these days? An even number of likes on someone else’s post? What the what?

    3. Vanessa Weber ikr he barked at a sheep before cuz he thought it was a kayoti ….. He lives on a farm and btw I subscribed to your channel 😊

  1. I have a beagle who is very stubborn. He listens pretty well inside on a leash but I live on a busy road and I cannot get him to come or stay on our property. I am so afraid he’ll get ran over or worse. So whenever he gets loose at least 5 cars swerve to miss him. When he is roaming free it is like he is in a different world. Zak, please make a video about how how to train stubborn dogs like beagles. PLEASE

    1. Gabe Kappen i have a beagle, i think you already know they are hunting dogs so naturally they want to be outside looking for animals at all times, my dog has escaped multiple times but luckily i live in a calm area with little cars, what you can do what i was about to do but then realised was to cruel is to buy a line that you dig under the ground and then buy a necklace that has gives an electric shock if he or she goes near the line, the dog should learn to not keep escaping but im pretty sure you think this is too far but its better than the dog getting driven over

    2. plenty of dogs can seem stubborn, and tbh i think it’s just us not understanding them.

if you want to off leash with any dog ever, you do have to start with super basic training outside ON leash. dogs don’t generalize like we can, so knowing to do x y and z inside doesn’t mean anything once they go through the front door. good thing they’re adorable because they sure are frustrating :3

start like you did when you first started training him. even a sit can be hard if there’s things to sniff. like others said, some breeds that are big on scents can never really go off leash because they do just follow their noses. but i’ve met beagles who stay in their yards, so i think he’s at least got a shot.

    3. Beagles are a tough one… I couldn’t go beyond the basics with mine and had to have him on a leash when we where somewhere new or somewhere, he had to cross a road to get home his entire life. He was great, but not compliant.

  2. Hey Zak, how to brush teeth of an older dog? Puppy it’s easy, but big one is really not cooperating on it. Please reply

    1. You can give raw carrots 🥕 as they help keep the teeth somewhat clean. Peanut butter in the toothbrush and allowing them to lick it off when you’re holding it helps them get over the fear of it

    2. we never used a toothbrush for My dog there are a pill you can give them that takes care of karies and bacteria in the mouth and then we gave her a lot of dental hygene toys and things like that and on her own she chewed on pine cones( its actually good for your dog as the treesap is a little antiseptic to protect the tree from bad bacteria) and sticks and those help clean the teeth, we never had a problem with her chewing on things she wasnt supposed to and we never had a problem with her teeth she is gone now because of cancer but I still miss her.

  3. I dont know why u bring in dogs who already look too well trained..i cnt even teach my dog to sit…the method you gave of taking the treat close to his nose and then making him sit….my dog just jumps for the treat..please bring in dogs who arent trained…

    1. That doesn’t matter my dog had never experienced being trained a few days ago I got treats I told him to sit he did it right away next I told to lay he laid then I did bang bang he did it and that was the first time. If u think I’m trying to be mean I’m not I think it’s totally fine to be frustrated like I was but remember say it many times and to help she or he put it’s behind to a sit position.

    2. U should push down ur dogs behind and tell them sit n give them a treat each time u do it push less and less until they do it on their own. That’s how I trained my dog

  4. Hey zak! Im getting a golden retriever puppy in a couple days and im sure I’ve watched every one of your videos at least 3 times. What in your opinion is the most important thing to teach a new puppy? What MUST i teach my puppy in order to have a well behaved dog in the future?

    1. tutelome thank you! I think he’s a Rhode island red but i dont know much about rooster and chicken breeds. Im working on socializing my pup with other animals before introducing him to my rooster.

    2. I recommend training your dog using balance dog training it’s way more affective because you actually discipline your dog but also reward it

    3. I have a golden retriever 3 or 4 months old male named Raphael he knows how to sit and come I am using my moms yt account

  5. Hi Zack , mi parents are going to surprime me with a golden Retriver puppy .Can you plz make a video of tips and triks and alsow how to train her/he to be alown for 8 hours plz and thx for the videos.Ohhh and i cant order from petflow because im from Spain:(lol thx bye

    1. Rzepy 310 That’s an unfair statement. The majority of people living and working have to leave their dogs for at least 8 hours a day. I adopted a puppy and she gets lots of love before and after work, but I have to leave her for about 9 hours. She is also very well trained and house broken. So what? Only people who work from home can have dogs?

    2. Chloe So does everyone saying this jobless? Wtf…I have a now 8 month old puppy and I had to leave her for 8 hours while at work. I was able to exercise and training with her before and after and spend quality time. That’s an unfair assessment. Most people who own dogs have to work.

    3. BeautifulFrancesca Just because “most people” do it it doesn’t make it okay to do.

Dogs are social animals and being left alone 8 hours is not good for their mental states, it’s no wonder that separation anxiety and behavioural issues are so commonplace nowadays.

Is it better than a dog being homeless or PTS? Probably in most cases, but to go out and purchase a puppy in the knowledge it’s going to spend a vast proportion of its time alone is selfish.
Now, if a person was adopting a dog that would otherwise be in the shelter, PTS or in a worse scenario then it’s the lesser of 2 evils to be left alone during the day, but even then it would vastly improve the dog’s quality of life to not be in isolation the entire day.

    4. BeautifulFrancesca And well done for exercising and playing with her before and after work, most people don’t bother beforehand and by the time they’re home from a long day’s work the last thing they want to do is exercise the dog.
That’s half the issue, most dogs are left the entire day whilst their humans work and then when the humans are home the dog still has no mental or physical stimulation other than the presence of the human.

    1. What else are you supposed to say besides he or she? They is grammatically incorrect so you have to assume gender one way or the other

    1. sarah m listen to your heart. It’s time……………
for you to go to shelter and find your best friend!!!!!!

  6. My mum is a dog trainer and behaviorist so if you have a puppy or dog who needs to be trained or if its aggresive you can go on google and type Francesca Willis Dog Behaviourist and she will help you and your dog. Anyway good video you clearly know about dogs 🙂

  7. Can you make a vid on how to teach your dog to not be scared of anyone because I have a really big problem with my dog and when I take her on walks she sits down when she sees someone that’s not me and one time she almost got lost because I was pulling her to come when there was a person and then the leash fell off her and she ran away and I got her now I don’t take her on walks because she’s scared of everyone in my family and everyone else that is not me 🙁
