  1. Zak,thank you so much for this video. I have a dog thats 15,has cancer and i have trained her everything she knows.Shes still learning new tricks. Shes really good at come.

  2. Zak can u please do a video for how to handle dog food aggression or is it to dangerous…i have a 1 year old mix breed and he is really protective of his food…please do this tipe of video. 😃😉☺😀

    1. +Dena Sheygan When my little brother was a baby my dad would put his hand in the dog food bowl when she was eating so if my little brother would mess with her when she was eating she wouldn’t bite him or anything else

    2. +Diyana Altae
I remember my dog had aggression with her food. When she was a puppy, she growled at me when I fed her and had my hand near by her food I screamed at her saying “NO”. It was really loud. I think in dog world if you try to steal other’s food you get growled at. So basically that’s what I did It worked quite well. She stopped growling at me. Occasionally, I swing my hand by her when she’s eating and if she growls again, I’d do the same thing.. Hope you’ll find the solution

    3. +Diyana Altae our 3 year old pitbull sits by her full bowl of food and Looks at me…waiting for the “free” commandI can lay in front of the dish play my hand in it and walk away…she waits till I say FREE then in like 10 seconds it’s scarfed down.

    4. Check out Don Sulilvan’s videos. They are on Youtube and he has specialized in aggression training.

    5. Diyana Altae you need to show your dog who’s the boss, put down the food let him take a bite, then take it away from him without hesitation even if he growls, if he snaps at you then smack him in the face and don’t be gentle, I know hitting your dog sounds bad but he needs to know whose alpha leader, it only takes 1 smack (if needed) and a firm “NO” to show him who’s in charge

  3. I love that you show the “failures” in your videos and they don’t just look like a magic training session like Ceasar Milan. Dog training is not magic… and it takes a tremendous amount of patience and consistency. Please keep up the great videos.

  4. I do not believe the handler should ever be the source of distraction it causes the dog  to question their motives and actions I’m very anti erratic acting handlers!   it has no practical application and certainly does not mirror any competitive type discipline I’m baffled why people on here do that

    1. no it does not it confuses the dog there is not a single competitive dog discipline in the world where the handler is ever the source of anything but clear confident cues not distractions  I have thousands of training videos filled with rampant distractions none of them from me and I have puppies that are trained on video from zero to off leash trained retrieves on my channel look up” Bleu the wonder puppy”  most pet trainers on here have little if any reliable off leash work certainly not ”purpose driven behavior” limited if any  eye contact no animated heeling etc

    2. because if you are better at correcting behavior than creating behavior your what is called a terrible trainer. in other words create the behavior you want not correct the behavior you don’t I have several off leash GSP on my channel I don’t train hunting digs but these guys who do.,do it in an uber technical way its equal parts tough and sensitive breed

    3. +panzertoo true I don’t support this video either. This person is not a dog trainer at all. He should be more calm with his body language in the first place instead of acting like a clown.

  5. I love your videos. A lot of people I know always refer to Cesar Millan but from my experience, your videos have been 100% successful with training my dog. From your videos, I’ve taught her to sit, stay, roll over, play dead, “speak”, and a couple other things.

    1. I love both of them. Cesar usually teaches more problematic dogs (and people) and Zak is really great for teaching your own dog things like stay, off leash walking, how to control barking etc.

    1. matt gentle Really? That’s what you have to say? Even after Nick conceded that his comment was ill-considered? Perhaps it’s you that could do with some basic training.

  6. I try to train my dog, but my family are assholes and whenever he makes a mistake and i try to teach him, they force me to lock him in a cage. They say its training, but now my dog hates me and still doesnt know how to stay. Then they yell at me and blame me
